The goalkeeper Was rarely tested to perform in the first half until tested by an opponent's curled attempt. One well-timed sliding tackle on an Albanian attacker showed sharp anticipation. 6/10

The debutant Examined against the opposition's biggest threat through their forward. Operated through the middle to begin with but moved wider once Saka entered the fray. 7

The defender Moved up the pitch when in possession, something he's known for previously. Sometimes lacked urgency in possession with the approach discontinued at half-time. Six

The tall defender A constant threat on corners and free-kicks, typically, but may be another option to his teammate in defense rather than his partner. A loose pass later in the match nearly resulted in an opener from the visitors. 6/10

Nico O’Reilly A further confident performance from the 20-year-old following his initial appearance against Serbia. A teammate failed to make the opportunity from an exquisite flick over the Albania defence. His position is his to lose already. 7

Adam Wharton His first start in an England shirt. Slightly careless when playing out though his dangerous corners caused problems. An effective game manager for the boss to have versus teams who drop deep. Shown a yellow for a rash challenge. 6

The midfielder Set-pieces on corner kicks and set-plays were dangerous. Was given license to drift in left midfield only to be in an offside position as the pass came in front of goal. Given a deserved break around the 60-minute point. Six

Jude Bellingham Operated in an advanced position out wide and also contributed with the hard yards. Displayed flashes of quality and scuffed an effort high. Withdrawn late on by a teammate, his competition, after being booked. Seven

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with the team's clearest opportunity before halftime, his shot excellently kept out by the Albanian keeper. With a teammate staying deep, it fell to him to stretch the play out wide although his balls into the box were hit and miss. Substituted late in the match. 6

Harry Kane The difference-maker with his 77th and 78th strikes for his country. The first a typical opportunist's goal and his next a superb headed goal following a clever run from his marker. Aged 32, he continues to improve and England stand a real opportunity in the upcoming tournament when he's in the team. 8

Eberechi Eze Struggled to make an impact from the left. Was presented with a presentable chance after being played in by Bellingham however the keeper denied him. His replacement made much more of an impact after coming on. 5/10
