Recent Particulars Emerge Regarding the Finding of Rob and Michele Singer Reiner's Remains

Fresh particulars have surfaced about the tragic demises of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were discovered at their residence home on Sunday.

A Discovery

As detailed in an account citing a confidential source, a massage therapist scheduled for an session initially became concerned after failing to get inside the home. The practitioner then reached out to the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives nearby.

After gaining access to the house, Romy found her father's body. Accounts indicate she then fled the house in anguish, not realizing at that moment that her mother's body was also inside. Another individual who had gone with her then dialed 911. Following this, first responders located Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Charges

The police have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of murder in the first degree, along with the alleged use of a deadly weapon, said to be a knife. He is presently in custody without bail.

Disputed Reports

The person close to the family challenged several previously reported details. They said that while Romy Reiner informed emergency responders that her brother Nick lived in a separate structure on the grounds, she did not name him as a potential suspect at that moment.

Additionally disputed published notions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been unusually "worried" about Nick's behavior in the preceding period. Rather the family was "accustomed to working through [Nick's] problems together."

This correction applies to reports of alleged "erratic" conduct by Nick at a party hosted by Conan O'Brien on the night before the discovery. While the source stated they were unable to confirm whether Rob had "chastised" his son at the party, they asserted that suggestions of a "heated argument" between the two were not correct.

Ongoing Inquiry Details

According to law enforcement officials, the coroner had not yet established at that point whether the Reiners died Saturday night or on Sunday. Some media reports noted the condition of their bodies pointed to they had been deceased for some hours.

Nick Reiner was arrested at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the neighbourhood of Exposition Park, about 15 miles from the family home. He was scheduled to have a hearing on Tuesday, but his legal counsel, Alan Jackson, indicated his client had not been medically cleared and would be unable to attend until no sooner than Wednesday.
