The Congressional oversight panel has released a set of approximately 70 photos obtained from the property of former adjudicated individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.

This constitutes the latest in a series of publication from a tranche of more than 95,000 photographs the panel has acquired from Epstein's holdings. It includes photographs of excerpts from the book Lolita written across a woman's body, and censored photos of female international passports.

This action comes hours before the 19th of December cut-off for the DOJ to disclose all documents associated with its investigation into Epstein.

"These new photos pose further inquiries about exactly what the Department of Justice has in its holdings," remarked the Democratic lead of the panel, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Images Made Public

Several of the images published on Thursday feature Epstein in discussion with academic and activist Noam Chomsky inside a personal aircraft; Bill Gates standing beside a individual whose face is obscured; Steve Bannon positioned at a table opposite Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner event.

These are the most recent affluent, prominent figures to be pictured in Epstein estate photos disclosed by the oversight panel - earlier published pictures also show US President Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, previous US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and other figures.

Appearing in the images is does not constitute indication of any misconduct, and several of the pictured men have stated they were never involved in Epstein's unlawful actions.

In a announcement released with the image publication, Lawmakers on the US House Oversight Committee said the Epstein estate's representatives did not provide background information or dates for the photographs.

"Photographs were picked to offer the public with clarity into a typical cross-section of the images received from the property, and to offer understanding into Epstein's circle and his exceptionally disturbing actions," the release reads.

The publication also includes multiple photos of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov novel Lolita inscribed in dark ink across various areas of a woman's body, like her torso, feet, hipbone, and rear. Lolita recounts the account of a minor who was manipulated by a middle-aged literature professor.

An example of a quote from the novel written across a female's upper body reads, "Lo-lee-ta: the point of the tongue making a journey of three steps down the mouth to alight, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a series of photographs of female passports and identification documents from countries worldwide, such as Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

The majority of the information on the documents, including identities and birth dates, is redacted but the panel stated in a statement that the passports are associated with "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were engaging".

An additional photograph shows Epstein seated at a table closely in the company of three women whose features have been censored - one individual has her palm on Epstein's torso under his garment, and another individual is leaning to examine a close-by laptop. Epstein can be seen to be assisting the third individual attach a wristband.

A further photograph disclosed is a capture of text messages from an unnamed sender who says they have been sent "a number of girls" and are asking for "$1000 per female".

Photo Disclosure Occurs Ahead of DOJ Cut-off

The committee has a vast number of photographs in its custody from the Epstein property, which are "simultaneously graphic and ordinary," its press release on recently clarified.

The oversight panel first legally compelled the holdings of Epstein, who was found dead in a New York prison in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on accusations of human trafficking, in August.

The photos and documents the Epstein property gave to the body are different than what is commonly called "the Epstein documents". That material are documents within the DOJ's control associated with its independent probe into Epstein.

Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which the President signed into law in November, the DOJ has a deadline of 19 December to disclose its files. The extent of the contents included in the DOJ's records is unknown, and it's expected that a significant portion of the material will be extensively obscured, comparable to the committee's documents
